The 'Gift A Hearing' Project launched in 2018 offers financial assistance to the underprivileged children and adults who are in need of expensive hearing solutions like hearing aids, cochlear implants, auditory brainstem implants, bone anchored hearing implants and active middle ear implants. Surgeries of such implantation are done free of cost by a team of world renowned ENT surgeons.

The Hearing Aid Program undertaken by Kishore & Nirmala Rao Foundation in partnership with Bangalore Cochlear Implant Institute (BCII) and Bangalore ENT Institute and Research Center (BEIRC) aims to support the underprivileged who suffer from hearing loss by providing them with hearing aid solutions at a nominal price or free of cost. Under this initiative, our team of doctors also perform free hearing implant surgeries to deserving candidates. In 2019, KNRF has donated hearing aids to 30 deserving candidates, performed 10 Cochlear Implant surgeries free of cost, and 15 BAHA surgeries which has positively impacted the lives of the recipients and their families.

ADIP Scheme

ADIP stands for Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids and Appliances The Government of India launched the scheme of Assistance to Disabled persons for Purchase/fitting of Aids/Appliances (ADIP) with effect from April, 2005. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment implements the ADIP by providing grant-in-aid to the NGOs and other executive agencies of the Centre/State Governments with the aim of reducing the effects of disabilities, and, enhancing the economic potential of the disabled persons by bringing suitable, durable, scientifically manufactured, modern, standard aids and appliances within their reach.

Around 880 successful surgeries have been done by various empanelled hospitals across India and we are proud to announce that Apollo Spectra Hospital has been listed as one of the empanelled on Feb 2021.

We also provide 1 year compulsory AVT post switch on of the child.

Every month there is one application from our hospital for ADIP scheme and we are hoping to do many successful surgeries in the future.
